HIGHLY EFFECTIVE HABITS FOR PARENTS OF STUDENTS I TUTOR
1. Change the scheduled time for your child only when ABSOLUTELY necessary.
2. When possible, give a minimum of one week's notice of a change needed in scheduling.
3. When your child is ill, be prepared to pick up assignment and work from Sue's home/receive a mailed assignment.
4. I request you give 30 days notice before you terminate tutoring with me.
5. Be "on time" (5 min. span); one of the main reasons for this is Sue often has other students scheduled next/other scheduled events, etc.
6. You are requested to pay for the whole month the first session your child comes for the month.
7. Be a Team member for your child where indicated on the assignment sheet. You will see the word "Team" in red ink by the assigned work.
8. Go to a public library on a regular basis (once every 2 weeks, as a minimum); join a Summer Reading Program at the library of your choice; attend library or bookstore "special events."
9. "Check in" with your child to see if assigned work(homework) is in the process of being completed in an appropriate time frame.
10. You are given 4 weeks "off" without payment, per calendar year.
11. If you or your child has questions about assigned work, please call me at 358-1405. It is fine to leave a message.
12. When dropping off your child, be certain that Sue is there before leaving. Once in a while weather (tornado warning, snowfall, etc.) can affect bus transportation home after work.
13. If a child has not eaten, send a snack for break time. I will provide a beverage. If special circumstances exist that one of the suggested items listed above does not work, please discuss this with Sue. SL
